The next time you connect your device to iTunes, iTunes downloads those records (known as crash logs) to your computer. To help get the problem fixed, you should send crash logs of the application you’re testing to its developer.

Sending Crash Reports from Macs
To send crash logs to developers:

In the Finder, open a new window.

Choose Go > Go to Folder.

Enter
~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice
.

Open the folder named after your device’s name.

Select the crash logs named after the application you’re testing.

Choose Finder > Services > Mail > Send File.

In the New Message window, enter the developer’s email address in the To field and
<application_name> crash logs from <your_name>
(for example,
MyTestApp crash logs from Anna Haro
) in the Subject field.

Choose Message > Send.

In the Finder, you may delete the crash logs you sent to avoid sending duplicate reports later.

Sending Crash Reports from Windows
To send crash logs to developers, enter the crash log directory (Listing 9-1 and Listing 9-2) in the Windows search field, replacing
<user_name>
with your Windows user name.

Crash log storage on Windows Vista
C:\Users\<user_name>\AppData\Roaming\Apple computer\Logs\CrashReporter/MobileDevice

Crash log storage on Windows XP
C:\Documents and Settings\<user_name>\Application Data\Apple computer\Logs\CrashReporte

Open the folder named after your device’s name and send the crash logs for the application you’re testing in an email message using the subject-text format
<application_name> crash logs from <your_name>
(for example,
MyTestApp crash logs from Anna Haro
) to the application’s developer.

Here at Red Shed we’re continuously on the look out for ways to improve our tools. Fortunately for us, we have many great clients who have shared their ideas and experience. So…we’ve been hard at work developing some great new features for Version2.0.

By using more Apple and Android native tools we’ve been able to increase speed and improve reliability. We redesigned the flow of the application allowing for improved usability as well as allowing us to add functionality. Added features include:

Search by Owner Name – search for a property using the owners name, county, state and zip code

View Plat Map – view, expand and scroll the property plat map. Great feature for the iPad!

Email Report – the full mobile report is assembled and available to send to any email recipient

Contact Title Rep – in addition to an automatically dialing the rep, 2.0 allows the user to easily email their title rep without having to type in the rep email address

Version 2.0 Is now available for download in the iTunes App store.
