Apple frequently releases free software updates for your device that you need to download to continue running the latest applications.
Updating is easy. Just connect your device to your Mac or PC and follow the onscreen instructions in iTunes.
Connect your device to your computer using the data cable you received with your device.

When the application you’re using crashes, iOS creates a record of that event. The next time you connect your device to iTunes, iTunes downloads those records (known as crash logs) to your computer. Each iPhone, iPod touch and iPad has a Unique Device Identifier (UDID), Apple’s version of a serial number, a sequence of 40 characters (letters and numbers).
