iOS Software Update – “Application not Compatible. Need iPhone 4.0 software”

Apple frequently releases free software updates for your device that you need to download to continue running the latest applications.

Updating is easy. Just connect your device to your Mac or PC and follow the onscreen instructions in iTunes.

Connect your device to your computer using the data cable you received with your device.

ERROR: Failed to retrieve a valid data service name, please contact RedShed

Here’s how to troubleshoot the message: “ERROR: Failed to retrieve a valid data service name, please contact RedShed”.

Reason: Your online account may not be set up to allow access to the mobile application.

Log into your online account
Verify you have accepted the license agreement, and;
